Kid's Patch Club
📌 London Borough of Havering
Kids Patch is our Ofsted registered weekend club for children and young people aged 5-18 with SEND requiring a minimum of 1:1 support.
The club offers a friendly, fun, social and inclusive environment with specialist equipment and facilities and trained staff. Staff have training in Working with Children with SEND, Managing Challenging Behaviour, PEG feeding, diabetic pumps and a host of other specialisms. They are also able to undertake further specialist training if required to meet the needs of children with more complex needs.
Children and young people can enjoy crafts and themed activities promoting confidence, positive relationships and of course, fun! They have indoor and outdoor spaces for physical activities and games. Our fun, interactive food sessions allow children to explore new smells, tastes and textures at their own pace – some of our children have even been brave enough to try new fruit and vegetables while wearing a blindfold as they were encouraged by their friends and support workers!

Local childcare professionals
We work closely with other local childcare professionals and are always happy to help our families who need extra support when advocating for their child. Recently, one of our families needed to appeal a secondary school place for their child who had been allocated a mainstream setting. Our team provided evidence of how this child presented within our setting, how they interact with staff and other children and the level of support required to try and maintain regulated emotions.
The family wrote back: “I wanted to share the good news with you. After submitting all my evidence to the LA they have reconsidered and offered our child a place at Lime Academy, Forest Approach for September.
I want to thank the team again for the report you did for our child. It made such a huge difference and contributed massively to the LAs decision.”

Kids Patch Parent Feedback
Kids Patch Club has been such a valuable experience for our child. Attending once a month has really helped build his confidence, independence, and social skills. He loves the opportunity to play and interact with other children, especially the role play activities. We’ve seen improvements in his communication, taking turns, and engaging with new people in a safe and supportive environment. As a parent, it means so much to see him happy, included, and growing in confidence every time he attends.”
My child has been attending kids patch club for a good few years now and he absolutely loves going. He attends twice a month and really looks forward to going. It gives him a place to meet and interact with other children and adults, helping to develop his social skills. The staff are so nice and welcoming, letting me know how his day went. So glad my child has that available to him.”
Kids Patch gives my son an opportunity to have his own social and activity club alongside other children, like him, that have additional needs under the expert care of the staff in a safe space. He is unable to attend mainstream clubs so it’s a lifeline for our family!
